I was awarded the second prize for the best doctoral research presentation in 180 seconds at the national finals held on Saturday November 18 at the Centre Numérique Francophone in Yaoundé.
It’s a victory that allows me to continue my research work in organic chemistry in high spirits.

I still remember the last 5 years, when the time passed inexorably between discovering the new world of motherhood and resuming my doctoral research.
During those years, I discovered a whole new world where I learned to combine my passion for research with taking care of my little family. An experience that forced me to find all the energy I needed within me to bounce back in the best way possible.
I’m now learning to fully assume my role as a Christian mother, wife and researcher, and to look for the best solutions that will help me balance these different roles without marginalizing any of them. To do this, I draw inspiration from the experiences and challenges of other mum-researchers in my field and elsewhere to improve my lifestyle and, at the same time, build a community of young African mum-chemists working to advance the field of research. After all, it’s said that if you’re alone, you can run fast, but if you’re many, you can go far.
